How IVF dating works

Pregnancy weeks include about two weeks before fertilization. For a transfer, the embryo has already completed several developmental days, so embryo age is included in the calculation.

For a retrieval date, the estimate treats that date as the fertilization reference point. Your clinic record remains the authoritative source for treatment timing.
